About

Who I am

I am a passionate creator, designer, and all around problem solver. I read all the time. I am a thinker, I love to develop new ideas, solve problems, and imagine my next tropical vacation or future car purchase.

I started planning businesses when I was a young kid (home theaters were my first big passion, spawned from a love for music, then movies). I got into engineering because I loved the combination of math and logic, with real-world problem solving and creative applications. Engineering is the application of math and science; to be great, you must have creative problem solving kills.

In pursuit of my ultimate success I have recently become more interested in graphic design, marketing, communications, and web design. Web design has many creative and logical outlets from graphic design to clean code, using the latest standards.

I love my wife, my family, and my great group of loyal friends. I grew up in North Carolina, but since high school I have lived in the Philadelphia area. I love Philadelphia, their sports, and their passion.

What I do

I enjoy running. In 2008, I ran the Philadelphia marathon. I love the mental challenge of running against myself, as well as the comradery and competition of running against others. Physical health is also very important to me. I also really enjoy basketball and volleyball (it helps being 6′ 5″). You are only guaranteed one body and one life, so I mean to use it up completely, and over a long period of time.

I also spend lots of time with my wife. We enjoy movies, going out to eat, and any time spent near a beach. I have a great family as well and we try to hang out together whenever our busy lives allow.

What I read

Reading is so important to me. I gain so much knowledge from experiences, and reading. There is so much information freely, or inexpensively available; all you have to do is open your eyes and read!
